According to a leaked photo about a rumored Android device, named Xiaomi A1, it seems that Xiaomi is cooperating with Google on a completely new Android One smartphone. The device is an Android One smartphone and the software running on it will be built by Google. The phone is also rumored to come with a dual-camera and a unlimited storage capacity on Google Photos server. The phone also features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display. However, the FullHD of the Android One smartphone doesn’t fit that mold yet.
Previously, Xiaomi has cooperated with Google on the project of the Mi Box Android TV set-top box, which is then sold in the US market. This Android One smartphone is initially expected be sell in the US, but it’s likely sold in the emerging markets like India, where Xiaomi is dominating this market. However, it won’t likely be launching in China because Google’s services are banned in China, which would be disappointed for Xiaomi fans. This will make a little sense to go on sale an Android One device over there.

According to a recent report, the Android One smartphone will has the similar specs like on the Xiaomi Mi 5X, which was just introduced last month. The Mi 5X features a 5.5-inch full HD display, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset under the hood, paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt memory and a 3080mAh battery capacity. The phone also comes equipped a dual 12-megapixel cameras at the back, and it is made of metal àn the display is covered by glass. Compared to the specs in this leaked photo, it’s very close to the specs of Mi 5X, so it’s highly possible that Xiaomi could use the Mi 5X and the install a stock Android version to make it become an Android One device. Until now, there is no info yet about when Xiaomi or Google will introduce this device, or where it’s officially available.
